There are various reasons to go overseas, including employment, education, romance, retirement, a new beginning, and improved quality of life. Regardless of your motivation, moving overseas is worthwhile. If not for the many advantages\u2014such as establishing lifelong friends abroad and having better employment prospects\u2014at least for identifying your dislikes and your independence.<\/p>\n
Moving overseas is more like leaping than simply stepping outside of your comfort zone. This is particularly true when you\u2019re traveling from a sleepy, tiny town to a busy metropolis like Barcelona, Berlin, or Milan.<\/p>\n
In addition to moving to a new place where you could or might not understand the language, you\u2019ll also need to locate lodging overseas, organize your money, meet new people, adapt to a new culture, and do a lot of other things. But don\u2019t think of this as a frightening or intimidating event. You\u2019ll leave your comfort zone and plunge into the uncharted.<\/p>\n
You will broaden your horizons and gain new experiences, but you will suffer from severe culture shock; you will meet a lot of new people and make a lot of new friends, but you will be separated from loved ones; you will develop as a person and gain new perspectives, but you will run into a lot of challenges and problems.<\/p>\n
